City Pass, Inc. has announced significant upgrades to its New York CityPASS® program, introducing a fully flexible ticket format, two new premier attractions, and a price reduction that together reshape how travelers experience New York City. The changes, effective immediately, allow visitors to choose any five attractions from a curated list of ten, a shift from the previous fixed package. This move matters because it gives tourists greater control over their itineraries while lowering the financial barrier to entry, potentially boosting attendance at cultural institutions and observation decks across the city.
The new lineup includes Edge Observation Deck & Immersive Experience and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Edge, located at Hudson Yards, is the highest indoor and outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, suspended over 1,100 feet above Manhattan. It offers a glass floor, angled glass walls, and 360-degree views, plus a major indoor transformation with immersive installations such as NYC’s largest kaleidoscope, the Pulse infinity room with 450 glowing orbs, and the Crystal Cave. The Whitney, in the Meatpacking District, houses renowned 20th- and 21st-century American art, including works by Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Andy Warhol, and features outdoor terraces overlooking the Hudson River and the High Line.
Alongside the expanded choices, the ticket price has dropped: adult admission falls from $164 to $149, and child pricing from $136 to $129. Advertised savings now reach as much as 51%. “These updates give travelers more control over how they experience New York,” said Megan Allen, president and CEO of City Pass, Inc. “By moving to a fully flexible format, adding new attractions and lowering the ticket price, New York CityPASS® tickets offer even greater value and make it easier than ever for visitors to build the New York experience that’s right for them.”
The full attraction lineup now includes the Empire State Building Observation Deck, American Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rock® Observation Deck, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Statue of Liberty Grounds and Ellis Island Official Ferry, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Intrepid Museum, Guggenheim Museum, plus the two new additions. Tickets remain valid for nine consecutive days from first use, and digital delivery through the My CityPASS® app allows users to manage reservations, access entry instructions, and receive notifications.
